The board of our parent company Roebuck Food Group plc oversees the Townview leadership team.
Ted O'Neill
Chairman
A Qualified Chartered Accountant, Ted was appointed to the board and became Chairman in 2003. He brings over 30 years of experience acquiring and leading Irish and UK corporates, including Imari Group, Sealfield plc, and Accommodation & Building Systems Ltd.
Ted was previously Chairman and the largest Shareholder in Monaghan-based Swift Foods, which he sold in 2022. He is also Chairman and a major shareholder in Procon Modular Ltd, an Irish-based offsite building solutions manufacturer.
Aidan Hughes
Deputy Chairman
Aidan joined Roebuck (formerly Norish plc) as Group Accountant in 1996 and was appointed Finance Director in September 2006. Retiring from his Finance Director role in 2021, having overseen the sale of our cold-storage division, Aidan was a welcome addition to the Board as our new Deputy Chairman.
He is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience in food supply and chilled storage.
Aidan's guidance and expertise have proved invaluable in developing and executing Roebuck's future growth strategy.
Kieran Mahon
Chief Executive Officer
From 20 August 2015 until 31 December 2021, Kieran was the Group Managing Director, primarily responsible for the Company's UK cold store division, which traded as 'Norish' and sold in 2021. He returned as Non-Executive Director in May 2023 and was appointed CEO in June 2023.
Kieran has a strong background in food and agriculture, having worked with Kepak, IFI, the Irish Farmers Journal, and Food Research at Davy. He also founded Simply Wild, a health food distribution business, which was sold in late 2011. He holds a Master's in Business Administration degree from Dublin City University.
As CEO and working closely with our Board and Management, Kieran is responsible for developing and executing Roebuck's future growth strategy.
Gerard Murphy
Finance Director
Gerard is a Chartered Accountant and has been with Roebuck (formerly Norish plc) since the acquisition of Townview Foods Ltd in October 2012, where he remains the Financial Controller. He was appointed Roebuck Food Group plc Company Secretary in April 2018.
He holds a BSc in accounting from Queens University Belfast and a postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Accounts from the University of Ulster. Before joining Roebuck, Gerard worked as Assistant Manager in the PWC audit and advisory department in their Belfast and Dublin offices.
As Finance Director, Gerard is responsible for all group financial functions, ensuring all businesses remain efficient, innovative, and scalable.
Sean Savage
Non-Executive Director
Appointed to the Board in 2012, Sean is a Director of Deasuin Teo Consultancy company and previously held senior management positions with Manor Farm Poultry and Cadbury (Irl) Ltd. He was also a co-founder and joint owner of Eatwell (UK) Ltd, which was sold in 2003.
