BRC Agents and Brokers

BRC is a leading safety and quality certification program used by over 22,000 certified suppliers in 123 countries. The standard combines globally recognised systems and protocols to ensure food safety along the food chain.

Red Tractor

Recognised for world-leading standards, Red Tractor is the UK's largest food standards scheme and the only scheme to cover food production, animal welfare, food safety, traceability, and environmental protection from farm-to-pack.

As a whole-chain scheme, starting at the farm, Red Tractor has strict standards for all steps in the food production chain, including transport, livestock markets, food processing and packing.

RSPCA Assured

RSPCA Assured operates independently from the food and farming industry. Recognised by the government as a higher welfare scheme, all RSPCA Assured farms animals are provided with:

  • Enough space to move around.
  • A good diet.
  • Comfortable bedding.
  • Things to do to exhibit their natural behaviours.

RSPCA's welfare standards cover all of an animal's life, from their health and diet to environment and care.

Soil Association

The UK's largest organic certification body, with over 50 years of experience, the Soil Association has higher organic standards than required by the EU Organic Regulation in key areas:

  • Protecting human and animal health
  • Safeguarding the environment and protecting the interests of organic consumers

No farming system has higher levels of animal welfare than farms working to Soil Association organic standards.

MSC

Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) works with scientists, fisheries, seafood producers and brands to develop standards and promote sustainable fishing globally.

The MSC is the only wild-capture fisheries certification and eco labelling program that meets best practice requirements set by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) and ISEAL, the global membership association for sustainability standards.

ASC

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is responsible for certifying environmentally and socially responsible seafood. ASC standards address the critical environmental impacts of farming, set requirements for workers' rights, and protect communities surrounding certified farms.

Based on best practices and sound science, ASC standards are measurable, metric and performance-based. They are applied globally to farming systems covering a range of locations, types, and scales of operations.
